Since Bayreuth had become an insignificant provincial town after the margravial period towards the end of the 18th century, the building was able to survive the subsequent period virtually unchanged.

Schloss und Park Fantaisie
Address: Bamberger Str. 3, 95488 Eckersdorf, Germany .Fantaisie Palace is located in the Donndorf district of the municipality of Eckersdorf, five kilometres west of Bayreuth. It was built as another summer residence for the margrave couple Friedrich and Wilhelmine von Brandenburg-Bayreuth. The palace building houses the Garden Art Museum.
