Hotel-Gasthof Opel is located in the centre of Heinersreuth and is only 3 km away from Bayreuth, the Wagner and university town in beautiful Upper Franconia. Heinersreuth is also situated on the Red Main and at the entrance to the tourist regions: Franconian Switzerland and Fichtelgebirge. The Main cycle path and the Rotmainauenweg are only about 150 metres away.

Our house was built in 1833 and is an individual architectural monument. There has been an inn here since 1841 and for over 110 years the family of the house has been greeting their guests personally. You are very welcome whether you are travelling on business or would like to spend a few days privately in Bayreuth or to the Bayreuth Festival.

Comfortable and individually furnished non-smoking rooms with shower/WC or bath/WC. WLAN free of charge. Cable television. Breakfast buffet. All guest rooms have a hair dryer, a sitting area and a table or desk. Your restful sleep is important to us. That's why we, like renowned hotels, trust in the quality of the Fränkische Bettwarenfabrik. The breakfast is served in our guest room. Our homemade jams and jellies are one of our specialities. Since 2012 we have had a bio-energy heating system with which we can save approx. 18.2 t CO2 per year.

Our restaurant is open for you from Monday to Saturday evening from 17:30. Sunday midday and evening a restaurant and also a bistro is open 300 m away from us. In good weather, we are happy to serve you food and drinks in our garden. A lot of things come from our kitchen garden, salads, herbs and also historical tomato varieties. We like to buy regional products, e.g. from the farmer's butcher, and of course we offer Franconian draught beer, Franconian wine and Franconian schnapps specialities.

We also offer homemade Franconian specialities such as horseradish with dumplings, Franconian sauerbraten with napkin dumpling, roulade with napkin dumpling and red cabbage, roulade filled with beetroot and horseradish, served with napkin dumpling and salad, homemade aspic with fried potatoes, beer goulash with spaetzle, pan-fried Wiener Art Schnitzel, fried in clarified butter with fried potatoes and salad, but also beetroot cream soup with horseradish, parsley root soup, wild herb soup as well as homemade oxtail soup.
